Stanford Hills first became recognised for top-quality Pinotage in very small quantities and has since grown into a boutique wine farm to be reckoned with. Now, they also produce a Sauvignon Blanc, a Shiraz, and a Chardonnay under the Stanford Hills label, as well as the popular Veldfire range. Wine tasting of their various wines is offered daily at The Tasting Room restaurant.

The property, a boutique wine and commercial flower farm, offers peace and tranquillity for our guests with freedom to explore nature amongst the flowers and vineyards (please don't pick the flowers). Don't forget to bring your walking shoes!

Explore South Africa’s Cape Floral Kingdom along the Whale Coast on horseback. African Horse Company, based on Stanford Hills Estate, offers outrides on mountain trails, along the vineyards, and through the forest.

There are a few dams on the property. The best dam for swimming is a short walk from the tents. Remember to bring a tube and lilo!

Guests can try a spot of catch-and-release bass fishing in the top dam in front of the tents.

All 10 tents offer the exclusive use of an outdoor wood-fired hot tub. A wood-fired hot tub is the purest form of relaxation. Soak up your beautiful Cape Floral surroundings while listening to the calming crackle of the fire. Or take a dip to cool off on the hotter days.

Wear comfortable hiking shoes that can get a little muddy.

Take a windbreaker or some wind/waterproof clothing along in the case of rain or changes in weather.

Take drinking water and power food along on your hike. Bananas, chocolates, or mixed nuts and seeds will give you that boost of extra energy.

Avoid hiking alone! No matter how experienced you are, tell someone which trail you are taking, and your planned route as well as departure and arrival times.

Please do not pick any flowers, damage any plants or change the natural environment in any way.

Please do not leave any litter anywhere on the farm. Animals eating plastic and litter could be seriously injured or even fatally harmed. Bottle tops, beer and cool drink bottles, and cigarette butts have nothing to offer the earth. Please do not leave them behind.

With an exquisite menu of Portuguese-inspired dishes in a family-friendly setting, it offers traditional favourites alongside new and exciting flavours crafted by Chef Jose Marinho. Kids can also enjoy the outdoor play area and mini golf right next to the restaurant!
